Global Travel Manager

About the Position:
The Travel Manager works on both strategic and operational aspects of the Juniper travel program. This includes working with our Travel Management Company and internal customers to ensure operational excellence in supporting Junivators and driving initiatives to improve the overall program. The travel manager works with our suppliers for airlines, hotels, car and ancillary travel services and work closely throughout the agreement lifecycle to ensure the highest level of services are being delivered. The travel program falls within our global procurement organization and along with having an extensive global travel industry knowledge the travel manager is expected to follow high procurement standards in working with suppliers. The position will require to work closely with cross functional teams of Supply Chain Operations, Finance, Legal, IT etc., As the Travel Ops Manager the position will be required to handle expectations at every level of the company, including the C-suite Additionally, the position is expected to handle various Procurement transformation activities for about 25% of the scope. Responsibilities of Travel Operations (75%) Maintain the relationship with our travel management partner, including performance, enhancements, and tool utilization Exposure to Concur, Oversight & other latest technology in the market desired. Manage the Global Corporate Card Program Work with our sourcing team on new agreements with our airline, hotel, car, and ancillary services suppliers. Track & report performance of travel agreements & suppliers. Develop and maintain metrics, collecting and analyzing performance data, and performing root cause analysis of deviations Handles the different travel governance boards of Juniper Evaluates travel market trends, technologies, standard methodologies, and builds/presents business cases for implementing those Coordinate with our Employee Health Safety and Security (EHSS) team to ensure traveler safety Support events planners for travel needs and event planning coordination Actively chips in to major/strategic program performance initiatives aimed at bettering financial and operational performance Demonstrate ability to build strong trusted relationships with senior internal customers Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan operational strategies aligned with business objectives Responsibilities of Transformation & Communications Program (25%) Digital transformation and change management coordinator or co-lead Communication lead with internal customers Build and present stories Support Procurement technology projects launches Works in coordination with PMO (Supply Chain Project Mgt Office) Examples, further enhancements of Procure to Pay, Contract and supplier mgt Participates in definition of continuous progress on Procurement Digitalization Promotion of User Experience, E2E approaches driven by Speed and Simplicity. Requirements:
Extensive travel industry knowledge that spans markets globally is required Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree (preference:
BA/BBA; focus in Business Management, Supply Chain, and/or International Management) Preference:
proven experience in the global travel industry with roles including strategic sourcing and procurement Program/project management experience and/or certification preferred Requires a strong knowledge of procurement practices and techniques Exemplify good level of emotional intelligence (EQ) in positively influencing various internal customers and improving business dynamics both within Global Procurement and broadly across Juniper High attention to detail and the exercise of sound judgment and decision-making Has exceptional written and verbal communications, time management, and interpersonal skills while primarily working in the English language Demonstrate an ability to communicate in a concise and effective manor at all levels Must be willing to train and educate users in new processes, policies, and procedures or technologies Must be able to achieve demanding deadlines without requiring constant follow-up Able to reorder priorities on short-notice and adapt to changing requirements Ability to work non-standard US hours (PST, EST, IST) when necessary to be able to communicate with our global teams. Qualifications/Skillsets:
A Bachelor's degree like B. Tech/BSc/BCom/BA. MBA will be an advantage. Total corporate/professional experience of not less than 10 years. A PMP or similar program management degree/certification will be an advantage. Technical skills:
Teams, PowerBI, Tableau, communication apps, especially to promote communication (beyond PowerPoint) Creativity. Thinking out-of-the-box, Logical reasoning are important attributes for the role. Video creation experience/expertise will be an advantage Experience in technology launch, selections, and digitalization Good soft skills to support change management initiatives Other Information:

Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & LogisticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
