Software Engineering Sr Mgr

Responsibilities:
As Sr. Manager in Packet Forwarding Engine team, Build and grow high performance engineering team by hiring, nurturing, mentoring, and growing top-notch engineering talent. Own and deliver key product features for Juniper switching products. Drive critical releases and milestones delivering features and products to customers. Drive best engineering practices for design, implementation, review and troubleshooting of software to deliver high quality products to customers. Develop long term technology competency and set high standards in the team. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Product Management and other cross functional teams for prioritization, alignment and predictable execution and delivery. Attend to critical customer escalations, work with support team, prioritize and drive resolution. Drive engineering metrices, e.g., software defects, schedules and demonstrate continuous improvement. Champion the culture of innovation, as well as, excellence in the team. Requirements:

years of relevant experience in networking technology and software development, with 5
years of proven track record in managing high performance engineering teams. Bachelor's or Master's in computer science or similar discipline. Deep technical acumen and expertise in data networking technologies, ability to navigate through high level system and software design/architecture, down to detailed design decisions. It is critical to have high level of technical competency in order to be effective. Excellent understanding of all aspects of software development, project management, quality, and customer focus in a fast paced, geographically distributed engineering environment. Excellent people skills to connect, build trust and provide authentic leadership within the team, as well as, in the organizational eco-system. Effective articulation and communication skills (both written and verbal). As Juniper is a US Federal Contractor, proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination is required for all U.S. employees. Juniper will consider accommodations for medical conditions or religious reasons on an individualized basis.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
