Amazon is seeking bright, adaptable, and hardworking applicants to join our IT Services organization as an Infrastructure Deployment Engineer - Deployment Services Operations.
This is a new and exciting role blending project and technical delivery ensuring that we delivery projects on time all the time.
Amazon's Deployment Services Operations team is the execution arm of our infrastructure services organization, taking care of the life cycle or upgrade of our standard network and compute infrastructure products.
You will manage multiple delivery projects and context switching between prebuild, execution and validation activities as project delivery requires, working to troubleshoot issues and non standard deployments.
You have experience in compute, storage, infrastructure and/or networking and are able to demonstrate this by successfully troubleshooting product deployments at Layer 1, eliminating physical defects as blockers to infrastructure deployment.
You understand deployment's security policies and best practices to avoid any risk on data and systems.
You assume responsibility for project delivery, maintaining regular stakeholder engagements and providing best in class documentation and reporting.
Infrastructure deployment engineers will generally be responsible for the delivery of regional projects, collaborating across their delivery teams and contribute to the success of the global programs.
You identify process inefficiencies, improve SOPs, documentation, and runbooks.
You use technology to solve business problems.
You work towards team goals, using network engineering best practices.
You proactively and continually improve your level of knowledge about Amazon's business and relevant technologies.
You use this knowledge to drive your team forward.
Your work is accurate and thorough and you strive towards excellence.
You are good at network operations.
You can diagnose issues, complete repeatable work, and deal with escalations through senior engineers when assistance is needed.
You promote the stewardship of our operational processes:
change management, site monitoring, event management, and documentation.
You mentor other team members.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
