Summary:
The Director of Hardware / Power Electronics Engineering is a hands-on role that is responsible for managing, developing and leading the analog and digital hardware development team in the area of power converter electronics technology.
Key to this role will be the leadership and ongoing development of engineering talent as well as driving the development of ground breaking technology.
Included in all of this are the schedules and deliverables that generate customer and company success.
Requirements:
Director of Hardware / Power Electronics Engineering applies leadership skills both inside the hardware team with the ability to negotiate across the engineering organization and at the senior management level.
Director of Hardware / Power Electronics Engineering will have a strong process background using structured requirements flowdown, design synthesis, simulation and testing to provide closed loop validation of design.
Ability to adapt process knowledge and scale to fast paced development environment.
Director of Hardware / Power Electronics Engineering will be a strong project manager with the ability to manage numerous contingencies while keeping product focus and maintaining deliverables.
Director of Hardware / Power Electronics Engineering will have system knowledge and management experience with embedded and application level Software deliverables, FPGA and custom ASIC design and release philosophies, PCB board architecture creation for best manufacturing practices, and knowledge of mechanical packaging techniques to deliver a successful system to market.
Director of Hardware / Power Electronics Engineering will have experience with FCC, UL, CSA, TUV, and VDE certification approvals.
Director of Hardware / Power Electronics Engineering will be responsible for the management of ODM/OEM engineering resources and/or independent consultants.
Education:
MSEE preferred with 10
years experience in switching power supplies.
BSEE acceptable with appropriate work experience and project deliverables.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
