Sr. Linux Systems Engineer

This full-time position will be working with one of the most popular eCommerce firms in the US. We are looking for an experienced Linux Systems Engineer who can build and maintain a Linux Infrastructure that utilizes physical and cloud based servers running a LAMP stack. This engineer will also be required to write software and scripts to automate tasks and such in a very high volume 24/7 environment.
Here's what we need:
Extensive Linux experience (Redhat, Centos, Ubuntu or Debian) and underlying network applications.
Experience supporting a very high volume, 24x7 environment
Configuration and tuning of web service stacks like LAMP, Tomcat Java, nodejs, etc.
Comfortable in highly scalable systems
Experienced with any cloud based computing platform such as Amazon EC2
Comfortable with virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM, etc.
Strong scripting experience with one of: Perl, Python, PHP, Ruby, etc.
Server config management software like Puppet, Chef, etc.
Excellent verbal skills
This role is extremely visible and you will be part of a great team.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
