QA Lead Engineer needed for long term project work for Fortune 500 Client Company.
Client Company is stable, public, and growing.
Due to the nature of the interview process, local candidates with local experience only please (Local = San Francisco Bay Area)
Client company is looking for a passionate and talented QA Lead Engineer to help build the team that will be the core of test engineering for a large web eCommerce application. Candidate must be self-motivated and be able to succeed in a fast-paced environment; they must work well and stay cool under pressure and stress. Candidate must be inventive and focused in their approach to work and solving problems within project deadlines.
Role:
Work with the Agile team to test features and functionalities to ensure high quality delivery for each sprint that conforms to user story acceptance criteria
Responsible for testing, troubleshooting and debugging features that are developed
Work closely with product design and product management teams to understand requirements and translate them to test plans for functional and regression testing
Communicate detailed QA status to the team and report any escalations in a timely manner
Ability to analyze crash logs, backtraces and assist engineers by utilizing basic debugging techniques
Required
Experience:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree
5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, with focus in e-commerce/web applications testing
Expert in creating test plans and detailed test cases
Passion for product quality and uncovering hard to find scenarios and bugs. Attention to detail and good at finding edge cases.
Experience with agile development processes and QA methodologies
Good communication, organization and coordination skills
Strong analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to prioritize problems in problem tracking software applications
Self-motivated, capable of working independently
