Sr. Technical Project Manager (Java web application dev projects) -
Job title: Technical Project Manager - Java Web Application Development
Location: Sunnyvale, CA 94085
Duration: 12-24 months

We are looking for a highly creative, detail oriented Technical Project Manager to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Marketing Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail on par with our CLIENT's high standards, coupled with a deep technical understanding of building scalable web applications and the ability to translate business process needs to functional and technical requirements. The candidate must possess excellent leadership skills, be a pro-active solution-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Overview:
o Experience successfully completing/delivering multiple projects utilizing both traditional SDLC (waterfall) methodologies and Agile methodologies (specifically Scrum)
o High ownership, self-sufficient, hands-on leader to drive quality across the project; in usability and experience from requirements, technical design reviews, testing and more - the position requires a hands-on, get-the-job-done attitude
o Drive technical aspects of interactive web projects, internal systems and supporting processes
o Ability to reason logically and creatively, identifying problems, drawing valid conclusions from the data available, and develop effective solutions while applying creative thinking in the design and development of high performing web applications
Responsibilities:
o Act as the Scrum Master for a new Agile web application development project
o Run daily standups, sprint planning meetings, demos, retrospectives, and other project meetings
o Work closely with project lead and developers to ensure tasks are assigned and being completed on schedule
o Monitor and report on the process, progress and results
o Work with the business to ensure requirements are clear and actionable and that they are delivered on time
o Effectively communicate project status to senior management on a regular basis
Qualifications:
o Web application design, implementation, and support expertise
o Hands on experience with design and development of highly available, distributed and scalable enterprise systems.
o Strong Java/J2EE background
o Understanding of Service design, SOA, Web Services (SOAP/REST), Data Caching Services, Fault Tolerant architectures, zero downtime systems
o Demonstrate innovative and creative thinking capabilities as well as deep troubleshooting skills
o Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, tools and best practices
o Experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks
o Passion for quality and attention to detail
o Comfortable with rapid development cycles and tight schedules
o Ability to brainstorm and communicate technology ideas and issues with peers and IT management; Ability to work with other vendors, cross functional teams, and internal partners
o Proven ability to manage to deadlines and meet cost constraints
o Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills
o Excellent organizational and documentation skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
