Yahoo currently has a Technical Project/Program Manager position available at our office in Sunnyvale, CA.
DUTIES: Drive the completion of multiple parallel website development projects to committed live-to-site dates by facilitating the tracking and resolution of resource requirements, project activities, and commitments. Work to improve the Custom Branded Experiences team through process definition and implementation. Work cross-organizationally with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, QA, as well as Marketing and Sales Project Management teams. Projects can be global. Manage multiple website development projects with set timelines simultaneously. Define project schedules and resource requirements based on planning methodologies, deliverables, schedules, and tasks. Interpret validated scope and translate resource requirements and activities. Facilitate scope validation meetings. Coordinate and schedule cross-functional resources and tasks in support of significant initiatives focused within Custom Branded Experiences team. Work with functional managers to book required resources to project teams. Work with cross-functional teams including Sales and Engineering to ensure project task accuracy and drive resolution of issues and constraints across timezones. Communicate planning and schedule status, issues and risks in a timely manner. Identifying and resolving problems, planning issues, and project changes. Escalate unresolved issues requiring senior management attention. Participate in product definition, feature prioritization and trade-off processes. Lead project teams and projects to overall success. Evolve processes and tools to increase efficiencies of Project Management team as a whole.
REQUIREMENTS: Masters in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field and 3 years experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Alternatively, will accept Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field followed by 5 years progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or computer-related occupation.
Experience must include:
1. Experience in managing engineering scrums/sprints including large-scale projects required
2. Experience in project management process; project management software tools, templates and management techniques
3. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
4. Experience in teams consisting of different backgrounds, skills and reporting structures to create a cohesive, cross-functional team
5. Presentation skills and experience communicating effectively across clients, executives, sales and program execution teams regarding technical concepts and plans
6. Experience in all stages of how web products get built.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
