Job Description:
The client is looking for a systems QA Engineer to join the Data Center Server products team. The engineer will focus on reproducing and validating the defects and testing new features for server, network, chassis management and storage sub-systems of the client's micro server product. The engineer will be conversant in testing all aspects of system software (Operating System, BIOS, Firmware and drivers).
Responsibilities:
Reproduce and validate the system software and hardware problems reported by customers
Prepare, document and execute unit, regression and integration test plan and test cases for reproducing defects and testing new features
Develop, maintain and run the automated test suite
Administer and manage the test systems and test lab
Collaborate with developers to recreate the problem and setup the environment
Required Education, Skills and
Experience:
BS Computer Science or Engineering plus 5 years of relevant experience
Background in system software testing (BIOS, Firmware, OS, drivers and chassis management)
Experience and acumen in reproducing complex system issues
Hands on system and lab setup experience
Unix System administration skills and scripting language for automation
Desired Skills and
Experience:
Good communication skills
Performance and benchmarking experience
Ability to work with customers
