Structural Dynamics Engineer / Analyst

Job Description :
The Structural Dynamics Engineer / Analyst will be responsible for:
Performing preliminary and detailed structural dynamics analysis, dynamics design support, mechanical environments derivation, and dynamic test design and execution for aerospace vehicle systems, structures, components, and payloads using standardized processes and tools under supervision of senior dynamics engineers
Providing structural dynamics engineering reports, technical memos, and data packages to support management, customer, and peer reviews
Presenting structural dynamics analysis results to management, customer, and external customer consultants
Developing dynamic test inputs, instrumentation/data acquisition requirements, working with senior dynamics engineers and testing organizations to execute dynamic tests, and interpreting/correlating dynamic test data with structural dynamics models and simulations
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Mechanical Engineering/Structural Mechanics program or equivalent from an accredited college/university. A Master's degree is strongly preferred for this position. Advanced Static/Structural Dynamics analysis capability using NASTRAN and finite element modeling using NX or equivalent is required. Proficient in programming and use of MATLAB for analysis and data manipulation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Basic familiarity with modern substructure modeling and assembly technology and component mode synthesis methods such as Craig-Bampton substructuring. Familiarity with composite and metallic structures and associated structural analysis. Familiarity with vibration, acoustic, modal, and shock testing of aerospace vehicles and components. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Basic understanding of requirements identification, derivation, development, integration, verification, and validation.
