This is a contract/contract-to-hire position in the telecommunications industry.
We're looking for a dedicated and passionate Sr.
Engineer to join our cloud networking team.

As a Sr.
Software Engineer, you will specialize in building high-performance, reliable back-end systems and server-side APIs, creating the interconnectivity fabric of the platform and enabling the provisioning of a new and revolutionary class of services to millions of Internet users.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Technical Requirements and Certifications Solid working knowledge of NoSQL Cassandra is a must Proficiency with Python, Django, Flask and distributed system frameworks such as Apache Zookeeper Prior experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Education and Experience 7-10
years' work experience or equivalent programming in Python 5
years' experience with high-scale, high performance and high availability server development Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Master's preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Solid understanding of algorithm complexity, parallel/distributed systems, advanced data structures, computer networking and operating systems Development expertise in REST/SOAP/JSON API Development expertise in message bus technologies such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ; Apache Kafka preferred Start-up environment experience Experienced mentor with the ability to work in a collaborative environment and coach other team members on coding practices, design principles, and implementation patterns that lead to high-quality maintainable solutions.
Services - Expert-level implementation skills in building highly scalable services (SOAP and REST) Spring - Expert-level implementation skills with the Core Spring Framework and including other sub-projects like Spring JMS, Spring Security, Spring Data and Spring Integration.
Skilled at building modern REST Web services Experience with additional scripting languages such as Python and Ruby a plus Experience consuming API/web-based services Experience with HTTP and TCP/IP A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.
Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Job Responsibilities Design and Develop Rest and messaging based software infrastructure and build back-end systems and APIs Design and develop low latency/high throughput server infrastructure components to handle large volume of transactions Analyze requirements, design and develop code, unit test code and test tools Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal and external audiences.
Comfortable with collaboration, open communication and reaching across dev, qa, ops and other cross functional teams Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers.
Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software.
Oversees testing and develops fixes.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
Works under general supervision.
Monitor and maintain operational readiness of Middleware Applications including applications hosted in AWS cloud.
Identify opportunities for system enhancements that will deliver enhanced functionality and/or simplify system administration.
Facilitate and develop plans for application changes (including defects fixes, enhancements and/or configuration changes).
Configure and test changes to system including reports, security access, and workflow.
Perform/Coordinate configuration changes to the production environment.
Work closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested.
