Amazon's legal department is looking for an experienced patent attorney to support Amazon's Devices team.

As a member of the Devices patent team, you will directly interact with the business and technology teams to launch and protect new products and services.
Responsibilities include actively engaging product managers, developers and engineers to identify protectable aspects of their innovations; working with outside counsel on the preparation, filing, and prosecution of our growing US and foreign patent portfolio; direct client counseling regarding IP issues arising within the context of product development, business transactions, and; analysis of our patent portfolio; and assessment of IP risk from third parties.
The ideal candidate will become a trusted advisor to the teams building new consumer devices and related services, while helping shape those devices and experiences so that they delight millions of customers.
The successful candidate must be curious, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
Compensation based on experience and includes equity compensation.
Some domestic travel is required.
This attorney will be located in Sunnyvale, CA.
