UX Design Manager, Alexa Core UX
Job summaryWe are looking for a senior design leader to lead a team defining future Alexa and Echo customer experiences as part of the Devices Design organization at Amazon.
As a UX Design Manager, you will envision and execute best-in-class voice and visual multimodal experiences working with a multi-disciplinary design team, product, and engineering partners to bring new products to market.

Key job responsibilities Define and drive the UX vision for Alexa on Amazon devices Lead product design for new-to-world features for emerging devices, hardware, and software capabilities Manage and develop a team of UX designers to best practices in information architecture, interaction patterns, and multimodal user interface design Lead concept development in ideation sessions and design reviews Lead your team to create customer journeys and use cases in storyboards, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes that define the product vision.
Identify user research needs for ideation and validation Evangelize concepts and design to diverse audiences across Amazon Use business requirements, market research, and customer feedback to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements Dive deep on consumer insights, product analytics, and competitive intelligence to drive product innovation Identify opportunities to invent and experiment with new technology and interaction patterns Inspire, mentor, and develop other designers in the studio.
A day in the lifeMeet with internal stakeholders in product and engineering to understand and influence product requirements and review UX proposals.
You will often present work to senior leaders across the Devices org.

1 coaching of your team, ensuring all designers in your team are working effectively toward their career goals.
